No one likes being stranded at the airport.

It’s uncomfortable, boring, and you are usually exhausted from a long day of travel.

However, just because your flight is delayed doesn’t mean that you have to have a terrible time waiting.

There are lots of ways to entertain yourself and, if you can, entertain others as well.

When a group of singers happened to get stranded at the Kansas City Airport, they decided to try and help cheer up their fellow travelers.

The group goes by the name of GENTRI, which stands for The Gentlemen Trio.

All three of them have incredible voices and have an amazing ability to harmonize with one another.

In the video below you can watch as one of the members of the trio explains to the camera the situation that they are currently in.

He tells about how their flight has been delayed and about how cold it is in the terminal.

But rather than just sit there and complain, he says that they are going to try and bring a little cheer to the weary travelers.

First, the three of them have to ask one of the airport workers whether or not it would be okay for them to film and performer a little show right there in the terminal.

Although the audio isn’t picked up, the worker seems hesitant at first, but ultimately agrees to let the three guys put on their show.

They find a small bench with three seats and sit down facing the rest of the waiting passengers.

One of the members has brought along his ukelele and sits between the other two, ready to play it.

The group member from the beginning of the video speaks up once again, but this time, he is speaking to the crowd of people rather than into the camera.

He says, “Ladies and Gentlemen, we are sorry the weather sucks, we are sorry for the delay, but we hope this cheers you up just a little bit.”

Right on cue, the guy in the middle starts to strum his ukelele and the mood in the terminal immediately brightens up.

The three of them have chosen to play one of the happiest sounding songs ever recorded: “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole.

The guy playing the uke starts to sing and clearly knows what he is doing.

Although he doesn’t sing it exactly like the original, it sounds amazing.

After he sings his part, one of the other members chimes in and sings a verse as well.

Eventually, all three of the guys are singing together, harmonizing beautifully.

And by the way, the crowd is loving the performance.

When the person filming the video pans away from the performers and into the crowd of people, nearly every single one of them has their phone up, filming the experience as well.

When the performers finish the song, the terminal erupts in a huge round of applause.

Although their flight had been delayed, it seems clear that their day was made just a little bit better by this beautiful song.
