Technology has progressed incredibly fast in the past few decades.
And some people need a little time to catch up.
Especially the older folk. Sometimes they don’t always get technology or new things quite right. Hard as they may try. And bless their hearts, the results are absolutely adorable.
Here are 40 times older people didn’t do things quite right:
Grandpa bought a “neck massager.” He thinks it’s “interesting” that this “neck massager” is a waterproof model. I hope no one told him what it really is.
Grandson wanted to take a photo of him and his grandma. He activated the front-facing camera and snapped it. “When is that from?” she asked. He had to explain that the photo was of “us right now.”
They say teamwork makes the dream work. That’s how Nancy Sinatra helped Cher fix her screen. She accidentally had it in night mode.
His mom went to a sex party. Kinda… but, not really. At least not the kind that you’re thinking of.
This gentleman was selling this guitar on Facebook Marketplace. He must be new to it because he didn’t seem to notice his own reflection in the guitar. The best is his tiny face.
This is definitely a classic fail. And the look on her face says it all. Mixer, 1, grandma, 0.
7. Grandma Sets the Table
I think grandma was going for turkey napkins when she set the table. They don’t look like turkeys. But don’t tell grandma that.
Grandpa got this tie for free in the 90s. It’s his “festive” tie. The one that he wears to every Passover seder.
Grandma busted out the good old cutting board to cut up this delicious-looking pastry. Just kidding. That’s an iPad.
Dad couldn’t see well on his iPad, so he needed to call for backup. His brother came to the rescue. With a flashlight… to brighten up the iPad screen.
That’s not an animal sweetie. That’s… well. Go ask your mom.
Grandpa ended up pressing the wrong button while trying to take his passport photos. He does not look too happy about it. The third look is my favorite look.
Where are you? No… where are you? I’m at the tree! No, I’m at the tree!
Grandma learned how to use Facebook Messenger. Well, sort of. She’s learning.
Dad is getting really good use out of his Kindle. He’s just not using it according to the directions. He actually found a new use for it.
Grandma made her grandson Clint a birthday cake. But the “L” and “I” ended up really close to each other. So, the name looks like it says something else.
I wonder what year this book is from. I wonder if you’d even be able to find these parts now. It was the thought that counts.
This is Bob. He’s a Flat White. And I am going to drink him now.
This was mom’s first message to her child after joining Facebook. It’s pretty mom. And such a mom message.
Grandma thought this was a cross. But that’s a toy sword. Her grandson didn’t have the heart to tell her.
Grandma bought this for her grandson who is an Uber driver. She thought it would be good to keep track of his appointments. She… is… pure.
Grandma made it for him. It’s a shark blanket. Is that a fin or are you just happy to see me?
Grandpa has decided he wants to unsubscribe from Facebook. So, he’s sending them a letter. It needs to reach department 15.
This is grandma’s favorite mask. She’s an avid gardener. What’s she growing in that garden?
Grandma was trying the microphone. She was off to a great start. But then…
Grandpa asked why this trail mix was so gross. To be fair, the “Fiesta Max” and festive fonts seem like human food. Also, it does look like trail mix. But those hamsters should have been a dead giveaway.
That’s not a chip clip. That’s a fish eye camera lens. It went missing weeks ago until he realized mom was using it as a chip clip.
This is actually pretty smart. He set up mom’s TV and set up the remote so that she can’t mess anything up. It’s a good idea when you’ve got multiple remotes.
Grandma is very fond of her “Jesus” statue. Except that isn’t Jesus. It’s a Jedi.
The grandson’s laugh is just priceless. She has no idea she’s filming her neck. It’s gonna be a great video.
Mom came over and brought some flowers. She found the perfect vase for it. Sort of…
Her 97-year-old grandfather is on Facebook. He loves this picture of them that she posted on Facebook. So, he printed it out so he could display it in his house.
Grandma brought this back from Florence. It was a gift for her 5-year-old granddaughter. She wanted to take it to show and tell.
Grandma was pretty tech-savvy. She saved all her recipes on a floppy disk. Now she’s passing those recipes on to her grandchildren.
Grandma must have had an existential crisis on Facebook. She had a lot of questions. We wonder the same thing, grandma.
Grandpa invited them over for some free computers. He keeps getting them for donating. The garage is full of them.
Here we have two older people texting. They are BOTH using the wrong emoji. They were looking for the crying one, not the laughing one.
Mom likes to print out her recipes. She photocopies them off of her iPad. I wonder if that photocopier has a printer. I bet it does.
Mom saw something in the newspaper about an app she wanted to remember. But she didn’t take a picture of it. She cut it out and taped it to her phone.
It’s Prog’s birthday. Times 5. I wonder how many 73-year-old Progs will be celebrating their birthday next year.
