Why is this so mesmerizing to watch?

While we give extra attention to our hands and faces, our feet are over here making do with the bare minimum. When was the last time you gave your toes and soles a good scrubbing?

Not very recently, I assume.

Thanks to TikTok, we’ve got a pretty handy tutorial for making foot soap. And as long as we follow the steps carefully, it shouldn’t be too hard.

First, we need a polybox to fill up with some resin. Are we using this to exfoliate? Who knows, but it looks like it. A lot of dead skin cells can build up on the soles and balls of your feet, so a quick dip into whatever this substance is might fix that.

Dead skin cells are never pleasant to have or look at. They’re rough, they look weird, and they mess up the otherwise consistent look of your skin. Having a few ways to get rid of them should be handy!

Into the tub the mixture goes, and it’s an interestingly purple color. Ah, turns out it’s a casting resin. I get it.

Since we’re making this soap ourselves, things will inevitably get messy. But that’s all fine for the results you want, right? Foot soap isn’t really something most people make at home.

Then the next step is to….stick your foot into the resin, I guess? Okay then.

Well, doing this will leave a pretty sizable human foot-shaped hollowness inside the resin. I guess we’re measuring the foot size in order to best gauge what soap to use? If that’s the case, then probably use a bigger plastic box if you’re a size 11 or 12.

If dead and rough skin cells down there are a concern, a Pumice stone should be your first go-to solution. Just dip it in warm water and gently rub away at the areas you need to. Everyone should have one, and don’t let me be the only person to tell you that.

Works like a charm, and it’s inexpensive too. That’s not to say you shouldn’t do anything else, though.

For one, try not to stay in socks the whole day. Smell and dead skin can build up awfully quickly if you do that. I know socks are comfy, but your feet need to breathe too.

But we’re here to talk about the soap, and now I think we’re seeing some progress. Is that liquid soap? Why is she pouring it into the resi…..oh.

Ah, well the video’s title didn’t really lie, did it?

It’s foot soap alright. You’ll probably get weird looks washing your hands with this. In addition to that, I hope your house guests don’t see this in your house. I can’t imagine what they’d think of you.

But as much as this TikTok had us fooled, it’d be unfair to say it wasn’t funny and clever. Matter of fact, it’s one of the more clever TikToks I’ve seen in a while!
